Tubbataha Reef


Is a marine sanctuary protected in the middle of the Sulu Sea.  It is called the Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park.  It is made up of two huge atolls, the North and South atolls separated by a deep channel of approximately 5 miles wide.  This reef has become a very popular dive site in the Philippines because of the coral walls in the shallow Reef abruptly ending to give way to the depths.  The park is open for diving excursions, mostly from April to June when the ocean waves are calm.

Mayon Volcano


Albay, Bicol. Here’s another premier tourist attraction of the country. Rising over 8,000 feet above sea level, this volcano is well known because of its perfect symmetrical cone shape. Locals and tourist visitors enjoy plenty of activities in the area such as camping, hiking, climbing, bird watching and photography. Mayon is the most active volcano in the Philippines. It has erupted about 50 times over the last 400 years, the most destructive occurred on February 1, 1814.

These spectacular Rice Terraces were carved from the mountain sides about 2,000 years ago without modern tools by its own people, The IFUGAO Tribes. These Rice terraces are like giant steps reaching high up to the sky. Today, the local farmers still plant rice and vegetables on these terraces. This is an amazing place to visit!
